Ottawa's technology clusters, OCRI Global Marketing and PricewaterhouseCoopers invite you to this new presentation which focuses on developments in Information, Communications, Nanotechnology, Electronics, Software and Computers and Entertainment and Media which will have profound effects on consumer and business opportunities and investment during the next five years. Our guest speaker is Dr David Jacobson, futurist and Director - Emerging Technologies, PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP (PwC).

Dr David Jacobson - Bio
Dr David Jacobson is futurist and Director - Emerging Technologies, PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP (PwC) and is the Canadian member of PwC's global community of technology specialists. Dr Jacobson is an accomplished executive with experience and networks in Industry, Advisory Services, Venture Capital, University and Government environments. His international experience in technology and business assists a wide range of clients to adapt their technology, product and investment strategies to changing circumstances. Respected internationally for his breadth and depth of technology and business contributions, David is a Fellow of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) (US) and a member of the Editorial Board of the premier international emerging technologies journal, IEEE Spectrum. He is a Chartered Engineer (UK), and a Fellow of the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) (UK). Recently he was appointed to the Advisory Board of the Canadian journal Telemanagement. In science, engineering and economics David is recognized as founding the field of risk-sensitive decision making and for developing differential dynamic programming methods for optimization of the performance of complex systems.
